Raisa was raised by her parents in Los Angeles by both of her parents. Irlanda Almendarez (her sister) and Italia Almendarez (her brother) have both been her siblings. Francia can be the Italian term for France. The same way, Irlanda is Ireland in Italian and Italia refers to the Italian word for Italy. The mother of Francia, Virginia Almendarez has Mexican roots while her father, Renan is from Honduras. Renan altered his surname to Cucuy soon after Francia's birth.
